Jamie Oliver Cookbook.

Jamie’s Great Britain.

So after a few days of asking myself ” Do I actually need another cookbook?” and then “Do I really need another Jamie Oliver book?” I gave in and bought the new Jamie Oliver book – Jamie’s Great Britain.
I suspect Jamie is a bit like marmite – some people love him, folks not so much. I am certainly in the love him group! And it is about time someone wrote a book full of classic and great English recipes!

He regularly gets criticized for his actions but I for one think he does fantastic work making an attempt to improve the health and diet of folks through his school dinners campaign and American food revolution campaign, and he works extremely hard to make them work and more importantly he does it as he really cares!

With over 130 recipes I can’t wait to start on some – first off is tonights ‘Empire Roast Chicken, Bombay Roasties and Amazing Indian Gravy ‘ which will then be followed on Sun. by ‘ Hearty Oxtail Stew, Spinach Dumplings & Creamed Horseradish’. The one I am looking forward to the most though is Jamie’s ‘Nan’s St Clement’s Cake ‘ which looks and sounds succulent.

Jamie’s Great Britain, is tied up with his new Channel 4 series and this along with Jamies ‘ popularity, has him tipped have the best selling book this christmas for the second year running.

My family and I love him, love his shows and his books. They particularly love the rise in quality and change in the meals that I now prepare for them. My offspring even now have a love of salads! I have all of Jamie Olivers ‘ cooking books and will probably continue to get them, as the ones I have are by a large margin the most used, dirty with food splashes and quickest to follow.

This book is sure to be wrapped up under most peoples trees this christmas and deservedly so! So i’d better go out and fill up on garlic, olive oil, chillies and rosemary – are they not staple ingredients an almost all of his recipes!
