What should I make sure I do to prevent food poisoning then? Well, fruits are a good choice to start with. Just make sure you wash them well. The chances of becoming sick by eating the fresh tropical fruits in season is very low. While you may run into some bugs or worms, you can avoid them easily. Be sure to inspect the fruits carefully. Fresh fruits are safe because they are perfectly packaged- just make sure you wash them well. Any bacteria that have collected on the outside of the fruit will be discarded. Be more cautious with fruits and vegetables that do not have an easily removable peel. Sticking to fruits and vegetables can also save you a whole lot of money. If you aren’t too big on fruits and veggies, wash. Washing your produce, is very important. Drinks of any kind can also make you sick. Beans and potatoes are readily available. But be careful. These two foods are usually how food poisoning is passed. If the cooked foods are mishandled they become easy breeding grounds of bacteria. Eating well
The secret to not getting sick or any food poisoning is following good hygiene. Wash your hands well, eat a healthy, well-balanced diet, and exercise regularly. If you are traveling abroad, your best bet will probably be to eat balanced meals at restaurants. Or, you can cook for yourself. Try to avoid eating street food.
