How to find the best Indian takeaways in town

How do you source the finest takeaway services nearby to where you live? It can be the luck of the draw, although most people have a list of their favourite takeaways. If you find a good one, and have a positive experience, you are more likely to recommend to friends and family

There are certain key elements that are influential in making a takeaway become a regular in your choice:

1. Do you live close to the restaurant or takeaway? It is worth considering if you are able to walk to the takeaway or restaurant quite regularly. Find out from the takeaway company if they have a good delivery service or not.

2. How well would you rate the quality of the takeaway’s service? It is important for the overall impression of the place by assisting you to decide if your experience was a pleasant one. Possibly it is determined by the quantity of local knowledge the restaurant or takeaway is displaying. Generally speaking, a poor knowledge of the local area leads to a slow delivery service.

3. The level of payment flexibliity, and how this is handled by the respective establishment. I find nothing worse than the completion of an order, to then be told that a credit card is not acceptable for payment. I find this unprofessional and slightly embarrassing, and it reaks of petty tax evasion. I tend to steer clear of these places as they do not give me confidence that I will find a good level of service or quality of food.

4. Do these places provide enough information on how to order quickly and efficiently? If you can’t find the leaflet, normally on the floor by the door, will there be other ways to order? Nowadays, it is slightly strange if the Indian food doesn’t have an online ordering facility.

Generally speaking, if the takeaway or restaurant has shown a good level of service, then the quality of food is usually assured.
