Dry Vegetables in the Zyliss Salad Spinner

It drains easily excess water after washing your ingredients? The most obvious way to use your salad spinner is to dry greens. Then I went for the Oxo Salad Spinner and this went on well till I dropped it down accidentally and broke the bowl. You need a good kitchen tool. A good salad has to be crispy and crunchy with the right amount of moisture and above all the all the ingredients need to be fresh.
The main reason why I went for the Zylis Salad Spinner is because of the large capacity. I love eating salads and sprouts and they are a compulsory addition in daily menu. That’s why many families have switched to the ready-made salads. Prepare your lettuce for the spinner by breaking the heads of lettuce apart into salad size pieces. This was on sale in Amazon and was attracted by the low price.
Sadly, the Zyliss is no different and I feel cheated for having spent on this. When using greens, rinse under cold water and shake off excess and most of the moisture so that salad dressing will cling to salad and so your salad dressing does not become watered down. It is better to invest in this and enjoy munching salad for at least two years unmindful of finding a substitute. A salad spinner consists of two plastic bowls and a lid with a hand operated crank. While, this does seem annoying, it isn’t true. To use a salad spinner, put the unwashed lettuce and other salad material you wish to wash in the inner bowl.
But this is really frustrating and I have dumped it in the junk house. Earlier I was a green freak, and I guess it was the struggle with my previous salad spinner that dampened my spirits and reduced the consumption pattern. Always tear greens with your fingers into bite-size pieces, do not cut them because it makes greens to go limp and edges to turn dark. For instance the large 9-3/4 inch bowl can be used as a regular kitchen bowl and it can also be used to serve fresh green salad and store them with tight fitting lid for later use.
